Obviously, the birth of my son is my personal highlight.

Although it is understandable to be amazed by GDC, this year gamescom definitely stood out to me: Our Shared gamescom booth was the biggest, quite literally: over 200 sqm were occupied by Bavarian companies and a shared Biergarten.

I’ve learned quite a bit about the Japanese video game market and industry during my visit to TGS, which was refreshing and exciting at the same time.

The switch to the newly founded Ministry for Digital was quite exciting, we’ve been warmly welcomed and are looking forward to working with them!

Well, my personal highlight definitely was GDC. It was the first time being there and the sheer number of people attending was mindblowing. Still, I had some very productive meetings and we basically set up the move of Bulkhead Interactive to Munich there.

Although it was unexpectly exhausting, the exhibition in Nuremberg “CREATE(GAME)” which we co-curated with the Pixel Maniacs and the city of Nuremberg was a really nice experience. It opened the doors for people, who wanted to have an inside look at the progress of making games.
